By manipulating light and colour Nan Hoover knows how to elicit fickle Fata Morgana from out of an artificial landscape. What at one moment appears to be a valley then bulges out into a slope. What was once a flat plain becomes a sinuous dream landscape. It might have been made of paper. From the effect of accentuated lighting, folds are changed into rivers or caverns. On this tape are three variations of these unearthly landscapes swathed in yellows, blues and purples.
