A short animated sequence of a door opening onto a room reveals the face of painter Doris Cross, overlayed against a plane of colourful geometric shapes. The image is slowed down, emphasising the woman's movements and expressions. Her electronically distorted speech is processed through a vocoder until it is no longer understandable, and yet instead exhibits music-like qualities.
Similar technique's are also demonstrated in Steina's work “Lilith”, in which Steina alters the face and voice of painter Doris Cross, so that it is submerged within a natural and technological landscape.
