'Ptolemy' is a 'machine performance' in which a camera circles inside and outside a series of reflective spheres. An extended, orbiting arm traces an optical trajectory which defines the boundaries of a space through a dance of mechanised choreography. The four-channel installation in a multi-monitor matrix is accompanied by a soundtrack of machine motors and gears which are piped through various processors adding to the surrealistic quality of the work. [This installation is featured on the DVD series "Installations 1975-2006" (2007).]
