The unbridled march of technology focuses on the universe, as far as the exploration of unknown territory is concerned, since we have exhausted our own planet by now. The historical recordings of Neil Armstrong’s commentary from the lunar surface and of the launching of Apollo 11 ('we have lift off') underline this explorer’s euphoria. This, and a woman lying in the water who just manages to stay afloat, carried along as she would seem to be by the current. Or is this a metaphorical representation in witch the advance of technology stands for the deliberate acts and water as the source of life? (WWWF '89)
