In this work Nan Hoover shows two imaginary landscapes. The first seems like a desert landscape, bathed in golden light. The color palet ranges from yellow to grey. The change of light suggests the movement of the sun during a day, revealing cliffs and grottos and covering them up again with shadows. The second landscape is bathed in blue light, like dusk right before the beginning of the night. Once again it is a desert scenario, but this as if recorded from above. A street or a dam crosses this landscape diagonally. While the first landscape could still be seen as something real, the second clearly appears as a matter of imagination.
