Two gnomes dressed in white sheets and masks dance around, holding sticks with paper skulls in their hands. It looks as if they are worshipping a plastic male mannequin. The two gnomes dance in a space that looks like a school corridor. After less than a minute, they suddenly seem to see something scary, and they run off. This very early video work by Servie Janssen explores issues about beauty, outcasts, rituals and death – subjects that return in his later video works like 'Towards the Shaman' and 'Television, products, etc'.
