This work starts with a shot of a picture tube with a still of a child on a slide. The child sits at the top of the slide, on the border between stillness and movement. The image is slowed down to frame by frame, making it look like the person is actually sliding down the slide. It is a recurring still that literally descends, the frame containing the captured figure. Two years later he developed this concept further with sound in his 1977 work Still life animation.
