The LIMA Collection 2015: Cinema

With green screens, animations and 3D technology, the special effects of cinema are getting bigger and more advanced. In media art, on the other hand, there is a long tradition to realise maximum effect with minimal resources. These special effects enchant us; they leave us in the dark about the boundary between real and simulacrum. On September 15, the artists Quirine Racké & Helena Muskens provided insight into the humorous and ingenious special effects in the LIMA collection. Watch their selection here.
