Would you like to (learn to) write for Wikipedia and contribute to the visibility of female media artists?

The Media Art project on Wikipedia aims to increase the visibility of media artists. We think that there is too little information about these artists online. That has to change! In addition to the online catalog Mediakunst.net, we are working on the visibility of this special group of artists by collaborating with the world's largest online encyclopedia: Wikipedia. During writing sessions we work together, under the guidance of an experienced Wikipedian, on new articles about media artists. On Monday 27 June from 10.00 - 12.30, RCE, partner in the project, is organizing a session on female media artists from the National Collection. The session will take place at the brand new Collection Center Netherlands in Amersfoort!

Wil jij graag voor Wikipedia (leren) schrijven en bijdragen aan de zichtbaarheid van vrouwelijke mediakunstenaars?

Het project Mediakunst op Wikipedia heeft als doel de zichtbaarheid van mediakunstenaars te vergroten. We vinden dat er online te weinig informatie te vinden is over deze kunstenaars. Hier moet natuurlijk verandering in komen! Naast de online catalogus Mediakunst.net werken we aan de zichtbaarheid van deze bijzondere groep kunstenaars door samen te werken met 's werelds grootste online encyclopedie: Wikipedia. Tijdens schrijfsessies werken we samen, onder begeleiding van een ervaren Wikipediaan, aan nieuwe artikelen over mediakunstenaars. Op maandag 27 juni van 10.00 - 12.30 uur organiseert RCE, partner in het project, een sessie rondom vrouwelijke mediakunstenaars uit de Rijkscollectie. De sessie vindt plaats bij het gloednieuwe CollectieCentrum Nederland in Amersfoort!
