Transformation Digital Art symposium | 24, 25 & 26 March 2021 | Online
LIMA is proud to announce the dates for Transformation Digital Art Symposium 2021, which takes place online on March 24, 25 & 26 2021. The Transformation Digital Art symposium is designed as an opportunity to share best practices concerning both artist-led and institutional strategies geared towards the future presentation of born-digital and software-based art. This year the focus of the symposium will be on Documenting Digital Art.
Presented online for the first time, the symposium continues in annual tradition, pushing further and questioning what strategies and practices could be developed in order to take artworks of an inherently digital, performative and processual nature into the future. Transformation Digital Art 2021 invites international participants from an array of professional backgrounds and presents workshops, lectures, artist talks and discussions and will highlight current research in documenting, archiving and preserving digital art at LIMA and partner institutions.
We are pleased to announce the first names of speakers that will contribute to the online symposium: Gabriella Giannachi , Vivian van Saaze, Annet Dekker (researchers) Andres Bosshard (artist), Ellen Kotthaus, Claudia Röck (HEK), Driessens en Verstappen (artists), Mauricio Van Der Maesen de Sombreff (artist), Alexandre Michaan, Marcella Lista (Centre Pompidou), Eoin Koomen (researcher), Gaby Wijers (director of LIMA), Francesca Franco, Michelle Kasprzak (curators, writers).
