Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Wikimedia NL and LIMA invite you to a writing workshop on Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2022 in the library of the Stedelijk Museum. You will learn more about the inner workings of Wikipedia, and we will guide you in the writing of biographical articles about artists and media works from the Stedelijk Museum’s Time Based Media collection. The workshop will start with a screening of selected video works from the museum's collection. We will discuss them as a group and based on your interests, you will choose an artist of your liking to write about. The workshop is open to students, academics, art critics and everyone interested in improving their writing skills!

This workshop is part of the project Media Art on Wikipedia, a collaborative project by LIMA in partnership with Wikimedia Nederland, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Van Abbemuseum, Frans Hals Museum and The Cultural Heritage Agency Netherlands (RCE).

Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Wikimedia NL en LIMA nodigen je uit voor de schrijfworkshop Mediakunst op Wikipedia op zaterdagmiddag 12 maart 2022 in de bibliotheek van het Stedelijk Museum. Je wordt begeleid bij het schrijven van een artikel, en leert meer over de werking van Wikipedia. Na een vertoning van een selectie videowerken uit de museumcollectie, schrijven we biografische artikelen over mediakunstenaars uit de collectie Time Based Media van het Stedelijk Museum. De workshop is open voor iedereen: studenten, academici, kunstcritici en iedereen die zijn schrijfvaardigheden wil verbeteren!

Deze workshop is onderdeel van het project Mediakunst op Wikipedia, een initiatief van LIMA, in samenwerking met Wikimedia Nederland, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Van Abbemuseum, Frans Hals Museum en de Rijksdienst voor Cultureel Erfgoed (RCE).
